Nick & Billy’s Wedding
I was very excited to meet with Nick & Billy. Despite being an established wedding photographer for a number of years I had never had the opportunity to cover a same sex wedding for two guys. Upon meeting Nick and Billy I knew straight away I was going to be a perfect fit for their wedding day requirements. My previous photography experience was the most import aspect of what my couple were looking for. Botleys Mansion Photography is a beautiful venue that is the ideal setting for any couple to consider when getting married.
I like to begin my Botleys Mansion photography by starting with the details. Nick & Billy were both very relaxed about getting in their luxury suite. Myself and my second photographer Edward worked together in setting up and photographing the suits, shoes, and cufflinks. It is so important for us to tell a complete story that when a couple then get an opportunity to enjoy their wedding photography they are reminded of the small things too.
It was a wonderful and new experience for me as a Botleys Mansion Photographer to have an opportunity to work with both grooms as they got ready together. Ordinarily I would work with the bride whilst my second photographer would work with the groom. Today I covered both Nick & Billy as they got dressed with their family and friends supporting them.
The grandeur of your Botleys Mansion Photography is elevated by the stunning rooms. The detail and finish of the ceremony room looks fantastic and with large windows there is plenty of natural light to fill the room.
Nick and Billy were escorted by their families as they walked down the Aisle. The civil ceremony between Nick and Billy was identical to that between other couples. There were two gorgeous readings from friends.
Afterward the couple led the procession outside for a wonderful streamer confetti. As their guests stood above them and let fire we were able to capture some great Botleys Mansion Photography.
Reception is a wonderful time for myself and my second photographer to capture so many candid moments between guests. I love to keep track of the couple as often the images of them embracing friends and family produce some cherished wedding photography.
Nick and Billy asked for their Botleys Mansion Photography of the formals to take place outside the front of the house. This allowed for their guests to easily have access to the reception and also join us when required for their formals.
It is always nice to ask a close member of the party to help round round people up so the couple are not kept waiting too long.
Botleys Mansion photography is definitely elevated by the use of such beautiful grounds and stunning interior space. I try to ensure that my couple photography is kept as candid and natural as possible. My images are tailored to the couple and the images they want to achieve.
Nick and Billy were very relaxed having taken part in a pre-wedding shoot with myself during which I was able to teach them a few nice tips and techniques.
The Breakfast Room
The wedding breakfast photography at Botleys Mansion takes place in stunning glass building adjoining two reception rooms for the evening. The details of the wedding breakfast are so important and I ensure these are all photographed before the wedding guests have taken their seats.
I consider the speeches a very important part of the wedding day. Botleys Mansion Photography of the speeches is elevated by the use of amazing natural light that fills the auditorium.
Nick and his Dad were the only two members of the wedding party to give speeches. As they did myself and Edward ensured we capture every single moment and reaction from the friends and family.
First Dance & Cake Cutting
In the evening the lounge doors open up to reveal an amazingly open space in which to enjoy the evening. With one lounge having a dedicated dance floor and disco. Nick & Billy had a wedding cake made for them by a friend of the family and featured a castle and waterslide. Theme parks and rollercoasters mean a lot to the couple.
Bottles Mansion Photography benefits from the provision a dedicated dance floor area. I set my lighting up to create an atmospheric environment for a couples first dance. Nick and Billy took the the dance floor closely followed by their friends and family.
I like to stay into the evening during which time I can finish the storytelling. The dance floor is usually where your evening guests lets their hair down and enjoy showing off their dance moves.
Fireworks & Sparklers
Botleys Mansion Photography looks stunning in the evening with fireworks and sparklers. Nick and Billy are massive fans of fireworks and had arrange for the longest and most extravagant displays I have ever seen at a private event. Lasting 8 minutes with a huge finale. After the display was finished we proceeded on to the common where we set up a sparkler arch for the couple to walk through.
